Bile Salts Metabolism Their Role in Mixed Micelle Formation and Alterations in Hepatobiliary and Malabsorptive Disorders

Abstract

|
Bile salt, an essential molecule for the formation of micelle in bile and intestinal content, was discu-ssed in views of their metabolism and roles in micelle formation with respect to cholesterol solubility and fat absorption. Effects of bile salts on. metabolic process and alterations of bile salts in hepatobi-nary- and malabsorptive disorders were also discussed. Special attention for the possible use of per oral streptomycin in the case of chronic liver disease and nonspecific colitis were paid.
